Did Quantum Mechanics solve the problems with Bohr’s theory?
Do electrons revolve around the nucleus like planets revolve around the sun? No. Because motion like that is accelerating motion – velocity is changing in an orbit because of change in direction – and accelerating charges produce electromagnetic radiation, and electromagnetic radiation is energy. If an electron loses energy continuously, it will fall into the nucleus. Oh but will it?...
